Unitika Sparklite
SUNLIFE marine grade is a reflective material for use on
life saving equipment. It is silver / white in colour and
is highly reflective when the
light source strikes the tape at both narrow and wide entrance
angles. It maintains this high degree of reflectiveness
even when wet.
There are two versions available. SUNLIFE-2F
has a backing of pressure sensitive adhesive which when
used with a
suitable primer can be applied to flexible surfaces e.g.
inflatable lifejackets and liferafts. It can also be
applied to rigid structures without a primer, e.g. life
buoys and lifeboats. SUNLIFE-2C has polyester backing
suitable for sewing onto non inflatable buoyancy aids
and safety garments.
The retro reflective material consists
of tiny glass beads embedded in a resin base with a flexible
outer
film to protect them. It has been tested to the specification
set out in the International Maritime Organisation Resolution
A.658 (16) and the results are far in excess of the minimum
requirements. It is fully approved by the Marine Safety
Agency and is printed with the following reference UNITIKA
SPARKLITE SOLAS DOT (UK). |
